The City of Houston is opening a health resource for Seniors at the Hiram Clark Multi-service Center.  The opening date is not known at this time.  You may contact the Center for more information.

WHAT'S NEW?

THE 2018 HEALTH FAIR IS SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 1.

                       SPEED BUMPS AROUND THE SCHOOL HAVE BEEN APPROVED. 

 There is no further information when the speed bumps will be laid as of August 1.

AUGUST IS JUNK MONTH. 

SEPTEMBER IS TREES MONTH.  PLEASE DO NOT PUT  YOUR JUNK OUT.


IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO TAKE YOUR TRASH CAN TO THE STREET,  A PROGRAM CALLED 'BACK DOOR' WILL PROVIDE A SERVICE TO HELP YOU.  AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED FIRST.  CALL 311 FOR MORE INFORMATION.


IF YOU HAVE EXTRA GARBAGE BAGS ON TRASH DAY THAT WILL NOT FIT IN YOUR TRASH CAN, YOU CAN PURCHASE A TAG FOR EACH EXTRA BAG AT GROCERY STORES FOR $2.00.  PUT THE TAG ON THE BAG(S) AND PUT THE BAG BESIDE YOUR TRASH CAN.  THEY WILL BE PICKED UP.


IF YOU SEE ILLEGAL DUMPING, REPORT IT AND YOU MAY RECEIVE A REWARD UP TO $5,000.00.  YOU MUST HAVE PROOF OF WHO IS DUMPING SUCH AS A DESCRIPTION OF THE VEHICLE WITH THE LICENSE PLATE NUMBER AND, IF POSSIBLE, A PICTURE. 


DO NOT PUT YOURSELF IN DANGER TO GET THE INFORMATION.

SOLID WASTE recycling resumes.                                                                                                    


Place only the following items in the GREEN recycling carts: paper, cardboard, clean food cartons, plastic containers #1-5 and #7, aluminum cans and bimetal cans.  For more information, go to
